Butterflies & Bumble Bees is a non-profit labor of love. It was born from a dream to provide for the poor in India. The proceeds from every purchase are used to buy sewing machines for Dalit women to use in micro-businesses. As our business grows we will also use our proceeds to fund Christian orphanages. Our motto is “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. “
All of our wearable art is custom designed and handmade using mostly natural fibers. Our dying is done with Fiber Reactive Procion Dyes on Habotai Silk. Our custom designed and hand knit hats are in children and adult sizes. They are knit in either wool, cotton or alpaca and are all hand washable.
